F/V Drill Conductor Workshop in Juneau

Post by AMSEA »

Trollers that happen to find themselves in Juneau on August 28 can get their USCG accepted Drill Conductor training. AMSEA instructor, Neil Nickerson, will conduct a workshop from 8:00 AM to 7:00 PM at UAS-TEC, Rm 133 at 1415 Harbor Way. The cost is FREE to commercial fishermen, thanks to support from the USCG, and $175 for all others.

Neil will cover cold-water survival skills; EPIRBs, flares, and maydays; man-overboard recovery and firefighting; immersion suits and PFDs; emergency drills, helicopter rescue, life rafts, and abandon ship procedures. Register online or call AMSEA at (907) 747-3287. Take a break from the fishing and get the training you need to survive emergencies at sea!
