Leasing a Permit

Postby joeman79 on Wed Mar 03, 2010 5:19 pm

I am coming to SE AK this summer and fish on a troller with a friend. ANd if I do like it He thinks I would love it and wants me to buy a boat and permit and fish alongside him in 2011. I am very interested but if I do I am gonna have to save every dime I can for the first year or so and was wondering about leasing a permit. What would someone lease a permit for a season for? Is there any general price range or is it even possible.
Thank you for all the great information on this site. I have spent alot of hours here reading and looking at the beautiful pictures.
Thanks
Joe

I think there are some posts on this site on that subject. Sometimes a fixed fee, sometimes a % of gross.

Except for the medical transferr route you can not legally lease a permit.
