This is a small, low power, quiet, boat-pc I built using the latest hardware available. It runs on a boats 12v power system (or 110v AC) via the included adapter. Total power draw is ~35 watts.

Hardware: Atom 330 Dual Core 1.6Ghz CPU, DVD/CD Burner, 2GB RAM, 160GB HD, 8 Channel audio output, SD/MMC/MS/XD 4-in-1 Card Reader, 6x USB 2.0 ports, Gigabit Ethernet. Wi-fi ready (has antenna, needs wireless card). 1x VGA D-Sub Video output. Dimensions: 11.8" x 9.5" x 2.6".

Software: Windows XP, SP3. Includes charts from Seattle to Valdez, including Canada. No navigation software installed. It can also run Mac OS X (I've tested it with 10.5.6).

Right now it has a single VGA output. Dual Monitor support can be had via a USB video card such as these: VGA Card or DVI Card.

$400.00 + shipping. I'll post some pictures soon.

It also has a Vertical-stand... although how useful that will be on a boat is questionable ;)

How has your 12v computer held up commericial fishing? I'm curious and looking for a new PC.

Thanks,

Andrew
