I have lots of lead but not the right size. Anybody know where to get molds for forming 50 and 60 pound leads? I want to melt some lead to my size. :D

Thanks,

Jim

I'm getting ready to do the same thing, a company out of washington little mac molds has a good selection, in 60 lb. steel only runs about $180.00. There is also a

section under troller talk (home made cannonballs)for you to check out. I want 60 and 35 lb. molds, do you want to collaborate? are you in Sitka?

below is the sight.

Thanks for the info. I'll check it out.

Funny thing, a lead ball is about the worst shape for something that drags through the water. I remember some talk on the drag that flat leads are best, but I have no idea how that would be made.

I am in Hoonah.

I have a 50lb cast iron mold from Lil mac that I no longer use. I've made 20-30 leads with it. If $100 plus shipping sounds reasonable, send me an email or PM. Thanks.
