I have built a couple of electric power troll gurdies, they are single speed 12 volt dc. I have seen, built, fished three types of electric power gurdies and these are by far the most fishable that i have seen. unless u have a/c power on board of course. just puttin this post up to see if anyone was interested in that sort of thing.

Are they single spool? Would this require a genset / extra batts, or would my two main batts safely run them? Price?

they are single spool. your main battery supply will be completly adequate for these. price is alot cheaper than hydrolic, but we all nothing is given away free.

Photos? Specs? Price? You haven't given enough info to know if I'm interested (I'm about to add hydraulics and 4 single-spool gurdies).

I'm in the lower 48. It sounds like they won't be available by the time I want to rig my boat. Good luck.

I have long since wished to go to electric power vs. hydraulic. I've put in seven solid years on the big boats and hydraulics is like the greasy spoon hey? I just found a Chetco Dory with a electric motor on the love joy to his hydraulics I thought that was cool but you say electric motors on the gurdies that the boats 12 volt is plenty to maintain keeping hydraulics off the boat I could remove everything like and pack a little more fuel that much more troll time hey? There is a wonderful and fantastic big dory Popas Toy for sale here in Florence but there is no poles, mast, rigging, HPU, PTO bare bones no electronics but all the bolts on the bulwarks there are gurdie ready and the boat's bonded you know and I've heard the boat has a history serial fish killer.

I'm not putting on any hydraulics if you can pull through with these gurdies. You're in AK. I fathom then I won't forget you know how you sometimes forget hey?

Going for a patent good thinking get your money what are you asking for the two spool set up? Oh and when could it be ready to ship I'm in Oregon.
