Troll Valve vs. drag bags???

Hi,

I am ignorant when it comes to troll valves. So, I have a couple questions if anybody is willing to entertain me:

1) Can one use drag bags instead of a troll valve or are these usually in combination?

2) Who is a manufacturer or supplier of troll valves and what is the extent of the work necessary to install them on the gear? I am looking at a boat with a Cat 3306 with TD 509.

Twin Disk has (or used to have) a troll valve that fits the TD 509, check with a Twin Disk dealer for cost, availability, and whether or not you can retrofit it .
