The troll fishery will officially close at 11:50pm Tuesday August 11th.
Closure dates: Aug 12-16
Fishery re-opens at 12:01am Monday Aug 17 for both coho and kings.
Chinook fishery will be managed in-season - no set number of days. There are about 35,000 fish left on the troll portion of quota.
I usually head to Sitka for a port meeting if there are 5 days or more on the closure. While it's not clear yet, that may not be possible this year, because I'm on federal jury duty. If I am not there during the closure , it's possible I'll be there a few days later after I do an aerial survey for ADFG. If so, I'll wander the docks and answer questions, so if you see me out there, please stop and say hello.
