mislabled salmon

The Chaser

I had to call the manager of a small grocery store and have the labels on there fish changed. They had little four ounce portions of salmon marked "Chinook salmon filets". I asked the meat lady were they had gotten the Chinook from and she replied that it wasn't chinook but in fact it was coho (confirming my suspicions). I asked her if she was going to change labels and she said NO and that there were only a few left marked that way. I told her I am a commercial salmon fisherman and take offense in this and would like her to change the labels. She then became very rude and dismissive of me so I told her that I wa going to report her for mislabeling her product, which she didn't seem to give a rats ass. I then emediatley talked to the manager of the store and brought this to her attention, she then reprimanded the lady and had the labels changed.

So this is two times in less than a month in which I have found mislabel salmon on the oregon coast. Whom do I call to report these offenses to if I can't get the problem resolved by myself?

The FDA since they regulate COOL's (country of origin labeling)

People goto jail for mislabeling that being said mislabeling on two kings salmon portion is not going to get you indited in grand jury but its still illegal.
