So yeah, the volcano thing. A few years ago NOAA filmed some
underwater volcanic explosions off the Oregon Coast. Maybe
you remember seeing it on the news or whatever. After
that there was a huge "dead zone" in quite a large area
adjacent to the volcanic activities. Could there be such a
area off of Edgecumbe? Does anyone know if there are
any undersea vents or venting going on from Edgecumbe?
Not to worry anyone, but I'm just asking.

There are underwater vents but I don't believe any of them are active. As I understand it Bird Island was formed from a underwater lava tube.

I saw a picture on here that shows Edgecumbe? venting? yes? that's the volcano in
pictures section?
