Very interesting program, it's definitely more intuitive than Nobletech and Maptech. With a few modifications it could make it into my wheelhouse.
For me, it would be useable if it had a more advanced tracking/route interface. I like to save hundreds of different tracks or routes and be able to see them all simultaneously. Perhaps this is something the developer would be willing to add.
Welcome to the forums, and thanks for pointing out this program. :)

Jon,
I hear you about the tracks. We used to use tracks a lot before 3D. For me know tracks are redundant, the 3D tracks are either there or the edge, gully, or ridge is so defined after many passes that I don't need tracks.
Nevertheless I still use them ocaissonally when navigating through tight passes. Nice to have redundancy some times. But, I only display the one or two I am using at a time. Otherwise displaying all those tracks slows down the computer.
And now that I think about it sometimes rather than draw or pull up a route for the crew to follow I will pull up an old track.

I have to agree. Most of the navigation programs have way more function then you need. I purchased Fugawi a few years ago and have been very happy with the product. Granted, it's not perfect but the good part is, you can down load maps from NOAA, and simply import each current chart as a fuctional package.
Fugawi runs on most operating systems, plus the total cost is around 250.00.
the real question is - what do you really need and what does the software provide which you can use? Often times software has MANY more function which you don't use, but pay for.
Personally, I would love to try Tikinav, the web site makes the product look easy to use and easy to understand.

it will show one track of your old tracks plus the one your making, you have to ask the programer if you want more, he's a really nice guy and is eay to get a hold of on email.
