AMSEA Drill Conductor Workshops in Juneau & Sitka

AMSEA is conducting Fishing Vessel Drill Conductor workshops in Juneau and Sitka in April. These workshops meet the US Coast Guard drill conductor requirements for fishing vessels and will cover these topics:

• Cold water survival skills

• EPIRBs, flares, and maydays

• Man overboard recovery

• Fire fighting

• Immersion suits and PFDs

• Emergency drills

• Helicopter rescue

• Life rafts

• Abandon ship procedures

The Juneau workshop is April 26 at the UAS Technical Center, 1415 Harbor Way, Room 133. The Sitka workshop is April 29 at NSRAA, 1308 Sawmill Creek Rd.

These classes are FREE to commercial fishermen thanks to funding from DCCED & NIOSH. This is a great opportunity to get life-saving training at no cost!
