Looking for any information on Naud Industries. I have the Naud clutch control and throttle control- which work great for small speed adjustments for trolling.
The search on google comes up with a phone number for naud industries in seattle but the number is old.
Thanks

The lack of information on these naud controls must mean its time to upgrade.
The simple, low profile, spring-loaded switch at all three stations made speed adjustments easy for trolling. In the pit I could quickly toggle the switch up or down for a small rpm adjustment. It seems like with micro-commanders I'll have a large throttle arm to adjust the speed with- not as on-the-fly as what I got.
Any advice on a new control system.
Thanks

This part of the system. Just switches.... ive had the same system on 2 out of 3 of my boats and grew up with one on my dads boat.
They work fine and parts are easy to come by if you don't buy the naud brand.you can use any momentary buttons for the clutch control like a horn button that returns up when you stop pressing.
For the throttle any 3 position sping return 2 Center switch will work. the last time I replaced my throttle switch I used A 7 dollar switch it has lasted 3 seasons and still working fine.

Thanks kj,
The picture was deceiving as I'm not having trouble with my switches- just wanted to show what style of controls I have.
So what I'm having trouble finding is the thottle pump and slave unit that fits on the engine. The pump mounts to a bulkhead and the slave mounts to the engine. What I have now is a rotary actuator. This was talked about in the post titled "Wanted: Electric Throttle Controller (old style)". The rotary actuator is worn out and I am not excited about tracking down another. I was told this Naud throttle system works great if you can find one- easy to install -all you need are the three way spring loaded switches at each station (which I am using already)

I have the same system and have thus far been unable to find too much info...other than the old number. I agree it works well for trolling. Fortunately, everything is still working fine for me but I do worry a bit about what will happen when something besides a switch inevitably wears out. It might be worth a "want" ad to see if someone is upgrading and would like to sell their old naud parts. I know there are several boats still using naud in petersburg.....you could call KFSK public radio's buy/sell/swap tradio show weds and fridays between 9 and 9:30 am to go on air and ask if anyone has any naud parts or info (772-3808 or 1-888-772-3808).
BTW, is that just a brochure in the pict...do you have the actual manual/installation instructions?
My electric throttle control on the Apex died while I was tied up to a dock. I had a break in my plastic pressure tubing. I had been doing some maintenance work on the port side of the engineroom and I believe I must have brushed-up against one of the tubing fittings on the throttle-control ram mounted on the John Deere. I repaired the tubing connection and topped-off the oil reservoir under the pump, but for some reason I was unable to get the pump to push oil to the ram. I discovered it was a "Naud" system when I pulled the spare/replacement unit out of the storage under the fwd bunk where the previous owner had his spare equipment. The box had the same information folder shown in sean_h_5's 2 pictures.
One piece of info that may help someone who is looking for a backup "Naud system" pump - I did some checking around and by using the info found on the mounted pump I found it to be the same as those used on "Bennet" trim tabs on recreational boats. It looks like there are a number of outlets where you can purchase these pumps. A person would only have to move the tubing, valves, and solenoid over to the replacement pump's ports. I got my system operational again with the spare pump (with all of the necessary tubing, valves and solenoid already installed). I want to have a spare throttle-control ram aboard so I'll be looking for a source for a replacememt. Unfortunately, my ram had no name or numbers on it. I am sure I can find something out of Seattle once I get the measurement of the distance between the ram's 2 ports and the diameter of the ram shaft.
My throttle control switches are spring-loaded "momentary" toggle switches - one up at the helm and another back in the electronic's box above the troll pit.

I had an actuator go out in a remote anchorage. It was all electric and didn't incorporate a 2 part hydrolic system. What really scared me was the ID plate said it was made by Lear-Jet.(any time it says marine or aviation your looking at big bucks when most time after market will be just as good) I used a power tilt motor off an outboard to get back to town but worried about too much strength and braking the armature to the injection pump. I used a zip tie for a braking strap. The finial fix, that is still on the boat, was an electric window motor from a dead car. I do like the power trim idea if you want and electric plus a hydrolic system. new thread? tips and tricks for on the grounds bandaids?
After today I am a lot more optimistic about finding parts and support information about Naud electric throttle controls. Yesterday I had a conversation about Bill Naud's engine controls with Jim Geraghty of Maritime Hydraulics here in Juneau and he found a message phone number in the Seattle area to get in touch with the current operator of "Naud Industries". Using this message number - today I had a short conversation with a member of the Naud family and was told that Bill Naud, the originator of Naud Industries, passed away approximately a month ago. Because of Bill's failing health, a younger member of the Naud family [who had worked with Bill for awhile] took over the operations of the company at some point. At the end of our conversation I was given a couple of message phone numbers to get in touch with "Mike", the current Naud Industries person.
I was unable to speak directly with Mike, but because I was assured by the first member of the family that I spoke with that Mike would be able to help me out - I left a voicemail for him asking him to give me a call. I got the impression that Mike has a regular job, and the Naud operation is more of an after-hours occupation. When I find out more - I will provide an update.

I just ordered the Naud throttle system through Current Navigation in Sitka.
Sounds like the Naud clutch control solenoid is available too.
Thanks all, for the help.

Sean - How much would the system be for 3 stations? Not sure if I want to try and trouble shoot my Hynautics anymore.

I'm not too sure as I had most of the system already- I sent you a pm.
