Howdy, I need help finding some 40' spruce poles in the Coos Bay area. I am new to the area with my boat and don't know who is cutting and peeling poles. Does any one have any good leads on peeled and seasoned poles? Thanks, Warren.

Go down to the port and talk to some of the ship writes. They build a lot of boats down there. It isn't Coos Bay but you could call the Learned boat shop in Cloverdale I think. If he wouldn't know then I would have no ideas. You could also talk to some of the local loggers and fallers, lot's of them will do small job side work. Or you could go cut your own and do what needs done that way.

Roger has a few outside his house but I don't know if they're spruce. He lives on Roy which is off Kellogg which is off Cape Arago Hwy .

Thanks for the information, I will check it out. I don't know Roger but will look him up when I get back up to the boat....doing Black Cod right now. Any more sources would be great, thanks.
