Has anyone successfully imported a canadian boat into the US and been able to fish it? If so, what was the procedure?
I know of one for sure. was bonanza II now Ida mae 40some feet was able to get ak #'s

The Acumen was brought in a few years ago. I fished on a 50' steel seiner that packed 100lbs of salmon that ad measured 4.8 net tonnes. I was boarded by the coasties once to investigate the measurements, they left shaking their heads at the possibilities, but agreed that it was indeed a oversized skiff.
Thanks for the replies. We went ahead and bought a canadian boat and just put the AK numbers on yesterday. We'll be fishing it for the first time this Monday. 38' x 13' x 6' == 3 net tons :D
