Hi all,
I'm trying to get liability insurance for my 21' dory. The agent in Newport that numerous people recommended said they don't "have a market for small commercial boats" and suggested I try to auto insurance company. This seems like bad advice to my inexperienced mind...
Anyone have any ideas/comments on what to do and where to go in Oregon for insurance?

Hello I am an insurance agent and mostly deal with auto home commercial and boat. However us regular agents only offer boat insurance for pleasure use. I used to have a company called Inamar. I believe they may have a policy that would fit your desired coverage. I am tempted to reapply for their appointment to be able to help out the commercial fleet when needed.
