Ok I bought a new computer and thinking of buying a new gps and then from there a new navigation program. I have thought for a long time it would be cool to have the depths recorded real time as to get better data on my drags. I bought a furuno fcv 585 last year and a jrc jma 2300 64 mile radar last year, unfortunately my auto pilot is a comnav 2001 I beleave, and I am running maptech ocean navigator with a furuno waas 32 gps. So the question is with a new computer dedicated to 3d chart and possibly charting give me some ideas as to your favorite program, how to set it up, along with pros and cons, tips would be good especially for software that actually charts the bottom.
