Stability & Damage Control course being offered

Alaska Marine Safety Education Association (AMSEA) will offer two opportunities for commercial fishermen to attend the ‘Upright & Watertight: Stability Awareness & Damage Control’ course in Sitka this year. The first workshop will be held on Wednesday October 5 and the second on Wednesday November 2, both at the Northern Southeast Regional Aquaculture Association (NSRAA) in the Conference room.
This course covers basic stability principles, the effects of common fishing practices on stability, interpreting stability guidance and include practice with damage control and techniques. It is available FREE to commercial fishermen thanks to funding from the U.S. Coast Guard.
