Survey: Marine Spacial Planning

Hi All:

There is a meeting of 'ocean industries' taking place in WA, DC in mid-July to discuss the issue of marine spatial planning. The cost is steep and of course it's taking place when most fishermen will be fishing anyway. The group has an online survey, which takes only a few minutes to complete. Please consider providing feedback by the June 30th deadline.

Marine spacial planning is something that NMFS is extremely interested in. Basically, it's zoning to ocean for various new and existing uses. The small boat fishing industry has never really been offered a place at the table. We need to engage.

Please JOIN and contribute to your fishing organizations, so our industry can have the resources to participate!
