Maybe others will share the date of their port's blessing of the fleet?

On Saturday, May 7, 2010 at 10 a.m., the Juneau Community will have the opportunity to gather at the Alaska Commercial Fishermen’s Memorial in Juneau near the Tram to participate in the Blessing of the Fleet and to show support for commercial fishermen.
Commercial fishing is essential to the well being of Alaska and is also one of the most dangerous occupations. Our fleet is being acknowledged by citizens of Juneau. This is a great chance to get some recognition in the community, participate in a boat parade, and receive a non-denominational blessing of our vessels.
The names of fishermen who died will also be read from the Memorial’s wall during the Blessing of the Fleet.
The event will be broadcast on Channel 10 VHF. Please gather in front of the Memorial promptly at 10 am. Your vessel will be individually blessed. A free Brunch/Reception at the Twisted Fish Restaurant follows the Blessing.
