I've recently considered creating a simple spreadsheet for totaling and itemizing fish ticket data. I would like to create such a file and quickly update it after each sale. Since I don't want to reinvent the wheel, I'm writing this post to ask if anyone has already created something like I've described -- and if you are willing to share a blank template. Thanks.

OK, here it is. There are columns for monthly subtotals/grand total. You'll need to use the SUM function to add the totals for each month should you so desire. Any questions, just ask.

Thanks, Joe (and thanks to those who have emailed templates to me). It has been helpful to see how others have approached this.

good question...
I've been using spreadsheet to keep track of info for the last two seasons. Then tax time comes along and I update my system.
Here is my blank form for 2011 season.
I also use the sum function for calculating totals.
There is also a separate page for each crew member's info and totals.
Good luck and please let us know if you come up with something else.

Thanks,
Have you thought about a column for Enhancement tax?

OK, with a column for enhancement. Note that the totals are in row 79. If you fish more days a season than that, just insert more rows. If you don't know how to do that, send me a pm and let me know how many rows you need.
And here's a business tax spreadsheet as well. There are pages for each entry on the Schedule C and a summary page. The category pages have the totals calculate and the totals appear both at the bottom of the columns and in the upper left corner so they're easy to find. If you need to insert rows, select a number of empty rows above the total row, do a right-click, and insert rows. Any questions, just ask.

Here's what I came up with a while back and put on the back burner. It is only about half complete. I plan to add a table with running season totals and some type of table for expenses. I've set this spreadsheet up to be used on a daily basis and to replace my trolling log book. It seems to meet my needs, but I want to run it by a few of you to see if I missed anything. Any tips? I don't know when I will finish it up, but will post again when I do.
Thanks in advance.
