Today is a sad day for Alaska. Senator Ted Stevens has just been identified as one of the 5 people who died in a plane crash near Dillingham. Not matter what your politics, if you are an Alaskan, Ted Stevens has done something for you. If you are a commercial fisherman, those 'somethings' add up to an immense amount.... While not his finest moment, the speech in the attached clip reveals Ted's great love for Alaska. Those of us who knew him all have at least one "Ted" story. Thank goodness for 'Alaska color'.=) While we certainly didn't always agree, I can truly say that it was on great honor to have known and worked with Ted Stevens. To his family and friends, I offer my personal condolences and those of the Alaska Trollers Association. Peace. dk
