I am looking for a 38-42' troller for a tourism venture in British Columbia. We would be operating day cruises, so fishing gear and accommodations are not as important as a large deck area. I am hoping to find a classic wooden boat with mast and trolling poles under 15T so it can be in the SVCP program and carry 12 passengers without the red tape and expense of a passenger transport license.
There are quite a few trollers listed on Alaska quota and Permits. How difficult is it to get an American built boat into Canada?
