I bought a tired Monterey clipper, but unfortunately its license had already been sold separately. I am looking to purchase a license for it.
Thanks.

I just bought a boat with a Ca. troll permit that came with it.If your in California now and can check with CF&G in person at a walk in office(I guess thats about the only way you can get anything done)to find out if this permit is viable,it might have expired in march 08,let me know and I'll send information and we'll see what we can do.I'm too busy to deal with them.I was going to go down to Eureka and visit family and talk to fish and game but just can't find the time.Let me know what ya think. You can use the private message (PM) option here on the forum to contact me.

Unfortunately gumpucky just bought his boat, and under the CA DF&G rules a new owner must wait 18 months before being able to sell a salmon permit (Argh!!).
So I am still looking for a permit, since the Monterey Clipper I bought is all set up for salmon trolling. (even though this season and possibly the next as well are closed).

I have one which may work. It is a viable permit and eligible for transfer. Call me at 707-544-8898 or e-mail me: kenboe@comcast.com for the details. Please provide the document number of your Monterey and I will be able to check the ability for a successful transfer. This permit has just been listed on GSI Boat.
