The Radio is a 42 ft double ended wood troller that was built in Port Hadlock in 1928. It has had extensive maintanence done to it throughout the years. I have owned it for 20 years and fished it in the S.E. salmon troll fisheries, IFQ sablefish and halibut fisheries and S.E. pot shrimp fishery. The boat has a Licence Limitation Program permit that is endorsed for Eastern GOA non trawl groundfish fisheries. It is currently set up to troll and longline. $35,000
All the systems, hydraulic, electrical, drive train, fuel etc. have been rebuilt within the past ten years:
Hydrualic – has had numerous upgrades, including stainless steel runs in the troll circuit and anchor circuit instlled over the past ten years.
Electricle – initially rewired in 2005 with ongoing additions ever since.
Engine and Gear – GMC 371 (high block) and Capital, rebuilt by Wikan Enterprises in 2006.
Fuel Tanks – 2 maines, 380 gl total, built by Precision Boatworks in 2006. Stove tank, 27 gl, built by Coastline Equipment in 2008.
Water Tank – 106 gl, Built by Coastline Equipment in 2007.
The most recent woodwork includes rebuilt forward bulwarks and caprails in 2010 and refastened stern in 2013.
The Radio is a very heavy built, ready to fish vessel. It is currently located in Thombson Hbr, Sitka, AK.
