The Board of Fish met in Petersburg over the last week and the results will be posted on https://www.seafa.org/ .I will say it had many proposals that would have severe adverse effects on all of us in Alaskan and Southeast commercial fisherman. I can't believe there was only four AC's, one Task Force, two commercial groups (PVOA and SEAFA), and the charter groups represented at the meeting. I am saying YOU MUST BE IN SITKA !! If things go the way they tried to in Petersburg we might be out of a job. Just because it dosn't say salmon on the label that doesn't mean it can't be added. I will NOT go into detail at this time, here, but feel free to call. 586-6652

PS: We will need bodies, I don't think that they are receptive to the excuse that ,I would have been their but I had to go on vacation or I can't afford to go. In our working with these guys over the last week YOU CAN"T AFFORD NOT TO BE THERE !! People make a difference, Groups make the point !

It starts on the 17th and they do staff reports then public testimony. Depending on how many people testify and we expect a lot in Sitka, is when the committee process starts. They tentatively plan on the committee meetings to start on Thurday but don't count on it. You don't need to stay the whole time, just long enough to testify and be/sit through the committees. It is suppose to end on the 26th but don't count on that either.

Great Tom, why I say this is many times down in Petersburg we heard "Boy I wish Dan Coffee, John White and Virgil were on the board now" so far the staff comments are all pro sport anti commercial.
