February Drill Conductor Workshops in Southeast, AK

AMSEA will conduct Fishing Vessel Drill Conductor workshops in Ketchikan and Metlakatla this month. Here's the schedule:

February 23 & 24 - Ketchikan, AK

February 25 & 26 - Metlakatla, AK

Instructor Dug Jensen will cover these topics:

• Cold water survival skills

• EPIRBs, flares, and maydays

• Man overboard recovery

• Fire fighting

• Immersion suits and PFDs

• Emergency drills

• Helicopter rescue

• Life rafts

• Abandon ship procedures

• In-the-water practicum

The cost is FREE for commercial fishermen (after scholarship from the U.S. Coast Guard) and $175 for all others. All mariners are welcome! Register online or call (907) 747-3287.
