The Chinook Mitigation program is underway! Sorry for all the various postings lately, but we want to make sure eligible trollers have the information as we receive it. This year, the program will pay for two seasons (2010-11), so we don't want anyone to get left out. In fact, if you were eligible but missed out on the 2009 payment, this application period will mean three years worth of payments. You will NOT get another shot at 2009-2011, so please pay heed to the information below!
Cheers!

Pre-printed application forms will be mailed approximately March 1 to all hand and power troll permit holders who have been determined to be eligible by the Commercial Fisheries Entry Commission to receive payments for fishing years 2010 and/or 2011.
Those who qualified for the 2009 season mitigation will receive a second chance to apply for that year only. There will be no similar opportunity for years 2010-2012, so don't forget to apply.
When ADFG completes their update of the mitigation website there will be online forms for those who may be traveling and not receiving regular mail service. Be sure to check links below.
Check with CFEC if your address has changed within the past few years - particularly if you don't see an application in your mailbox by mid-March. You can look up the address they have for you here:
