Just thought I'd share with you the state legislative appointments and bills we are currently monitoring and information on contacting the legislature. Sorry the spacing is off and I don't have time to fix.
Things change daily, so note that I'm writing this post on Feb. 8, 2013, For a variety of reasons, ATA doesn't always act on the bills we watch. You can search for all these bills and more at the links below and can also see the documents/comments that the committee is reviewing.

Legislative Information Office (LIO) provide access for people to testify at hearings from their home towns. When you arrive at the LIO or teleconference center to attend a teleconference, you will be asked to sign in, giving your name and address and to indicate whether you are planning to testify. You can just listen in. The moderator of the teleconference will assist you in the use of the equipment and let you know when you may testify. The chair may request that testimony be limited to a certain length of time and will decide the order of participation in the teleconference. Before beginning your testimony, state your name, address, and if you are speaking for yourself or a group. Remember to identify yourself each time you speak. Indicate to the chair when you have concluded your testimony.
If there is no LIO in your town, call Juneau and ask how to teleconference into the committee hearing of choice: (907) 465-4648
