Jon,
I don't know how much space you have here. I could upload these to another site and post a link. I have a few more boat photos, and some fishing action scenes, etc. which I thought I might post on a different thread. What do you think, share them here or post a link? I have not built a home page for our family photos yet.
Dale, If you want any of these I could burn them on a disc and mail them to you. These are reduced in size for uploading.
Most of these are shot with my Canon Rebel with a stabilizing lens. I am retouching most of them a bit now with Picasa 3, which is really easy to use, before uploading them.

Erik "my space" or "face book" lets you post a lot of pictures I had a "picasa" page but maxed it out, I must have 400 pics on my space and you can have a public or private area for pictures you don't want out (like family) pictures, you can allow a selected audience

Ed and Kathy,
Please tell me how you sign up for the face book. What camera did you buy and what lens did you get?

Anyways just saw the Marilyn and Eric Jordan Pics and Thought it was neat to see her and your names. ANyway Great Book!!
Coming in July for Cohoes to deckahand for a friend.
Hope to meet you someday.

Joe,
Yes, I am still fishing in SE Alaska. We troll salmon on the I Gotta. My youngest son, Karl, has a freezer troller and trolls salmon and has an aluminum fabrication business. My oldest son, Kris, fishes part of every summer with me or Karl.
We are in Sitka, and in the phone book, give us a call when you get by this way. I just read a couple of chapters last week as I was at the Sitka local food network bazaar. Really sad how they struggled to get a bite some years. I am sure that dad had problems with the electrical field on the Nohusit. Wish I could reach back in time and give him a hand.

I definetely will try and come to Sitka and visit. I have been in the retail and sales business all my life seems like and I am fed up with the public. I have been fishing (Sportfishing) in AK several times and in Sitka twice. BUt for the last 30 years I have been best friends with a guy who fished out of Petersburg for years and another friend that still does. I am sick of hearing the stories and want to live them for a short period of time and hopefully get hooked for good. Stories like your Mom and Dads were great! Your pictures are extraordinary!! Thnaks for sharing.

Joe,
Thank you so much, I love these type of feedback. I get plenty of comments about how people wish I would keep my mouth shut and my fingers clenched.
Come on up and enjoy the country and the fishery. It is a great ride.

I know what an effort it is to get them posted and that's a nice picture. That lense has to be one piece of equipment that has the highest non-monetary return and we are grateful you've got it. Thanks for sharing that and for the others as well.

Folks,
Here are some more pictures of boats from 2010. I hope you enjoy them. I see some of the pictures on this thread have over 6,000 views. If you know some of the people who own these boats who might want one of these photos printed up please let them know. I have been giving them away.

The Agile!
I can't thank you enough for posting a picture of the Agile. Glad to see her still rigged for trolling. My dad sold her several years ago and none of us have seen her since. It has been strange not to see her at the Terminal. Or to haul her out and paint her. I still remember being a 5 year old in 1964, "helping" to build her in Edmonds. :o) I would walk up and down the keel when the ribs were coming along and I would pretend I was inside a dinosaur skeleton. The smell of fresh cut wood was fantastic. Thanks for the memories. I would sure like a full size digital copy of that to show dad while he can remember stuff. (or anybody else have any recent Agile photos?)

Einar,
Great to hear from you. Kind of different to see the Agile in anything but white but still beautiful. I am forwarding some of these pictures to Becky Haun for her "The Fleet at Work" which benefits the SPC scholarship fund.
Perhaps you could send me a private note with some of the details of the details about the Agile, like year and place built. Designer, etc. Also, send me your e-mail in a private message and I will send you the photo in the original megapixel size.
Happy New Year.
PS. Your post and a few others plus some private messages make the work posting these pictures worthwhile.

Thanks for the nice comments on the pictures.
Here is what I do to post them.
1. Take a lot of pictures with my digital camera
2. Download them to my computer in folders by date.
3. Go through and edit in Picasa 3 ( a free and easy photo editing program from google) the ones I like and store them in my boats file.
i) in picasa I go through three steps
1) Straighten
2) Crop
3) Adjust the contrast, color, highlights, and then usually sharpen it a bit.
4. Then I start fooling around with all the fun Picasa special effects and see how the particular picture looks. If I like it I save it to my Boats, or another folder, and then, if I want to post it to the forum, I export it in the size (480 pixels) the forum likes for uploading.
5. Then I go to the forum, pick the thread where the picture best fits, upload attachment, then place inline, preview, and if it looks good I submit it.
Would love to see your great pictures posted here also.
