I'm not sure. I know it's in Pelican now and I think it was originally a life boat.
Hey y'all...
Great photos! I'm in search of pics for a variety of publications - who wants to help? Lack of good fishing photos is one of the top show stoppers when we try to develop briefing and educational materials about trolling and the fishing industry. What photos are out there in the public domain don't often play well to the public.
I need high quality digital photos, CLEAN (NO blood, gore, etc) pristine looking fish - carefully handled, well maintained boats, artsy pics of gear, the fishing grounds, port scenes, processing plants, pics of women and families fishing are always crowd pleasers (sorry guys, but we need you, too!). We don't have money, but are happy to give photo credits and copious gratitude to whoever's work is used.
Always looking for 8x10's of boats for the ATA bragging wall.
Give a call to the office if you want to help...586-9400.
Rock on...

To answer your question about the Sea Chicken:
It was once called the "Smurf" and the oldest owner I can remember is Frank Shockey, Mick Shockey's - the owner of the Brown Bar in Pelican - brother. After that it was in the hands of a family in Elfin Cove. Its an old Navy officer tender. It's powered by a 2 cylinder Isuzu diesel. Wish my own boat was as efficient :). Currently its owned by Jason Manney, who lives in Pelican.

What a great collection of pictures. Thanks to all of you. Does anyone have any photos of our trollers in rough water?
