my mom has a power trolling permit and a boat but because of other work she usually only fishes the first 2 weeks of july for kings. We are wondering if there is a way for her to transfer the permit to me after she fishes her couple weeks so i could then finish out the rest of the season by myself or with my brother until school starts... any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks

Fish. If you get boarded by the fish cops, tell em your mom's in the head and it's gonna be awhile? (half-serious).

I don't think the buyers would bat an eye if you used your moms card.

If she can trust your not going to run off and sell it just have her transfer it to you as the new owner. If she only fishes a couple weeks then leave it in your name and she can get a crew license and you two can work out the details from there. If she has any medical reason for not being able to fish then go with the medical transfer option. That is good for a year. I'm assuming your talking Alaskan permit.

Yea the boat is in Craig, where we fish it out of and used to live. My mom works at the hospital in Kodiak now which is why she cannot take alot of time off. Thank you for all the info. To look into transfering it over to me would I call fish and game?
