Nope. Hand or power troll permits are universal anywhere in the state open to trolling. You should consider going to the State's commercial fisheries div. website and reading up on trolling. You can look up the history, statistics, and all the rules and regulations. Might help you formulate a plan.

Thanks for the info. I have heard that some boats start out in say Ketchican and move north with the fish any truth to it?
