I am considering putting some bow poles on. What size weight is used on these about--and about how deep can one fish these without excessive tangles? Are they pretty productive?

I had bow poles on last boat and really liked them.I never totally figured them out ie tangles but it can be done.My rule of thumb was don't fish them deeper then 34fm,but some do it all the time.They are great for potholing and you can change your depth very fast.There fun to catch kings on.But I broke way to many even with brake aways,learning curve.Lastly they are quick to run and they look cool.
