I was going to order some bulk wire online and I realized I don't know what size to order without looking at the wire in person. What is the normal size for general purpose wiring of these? http://www.genuinedealz.com/marine-wire/flat-duplex-dc-boat-wire

Also let me know if you know of a better website to order from.

Not sure what components you are wiring, but West Marine has a chart to help determine wire size. The link should take you the chart.

Matt,

That is where I got all of my wire. It's good stuff, and the best prices I could find. They ship fast and free.

I used 14ga or 12ga to wire in most of my electronics. The #4 and #8 for running to a sub panel, to battery switches, etc and then really big for my battery cables. I ordered a 250ft roll of the round 2 wire #12 and and another roll of the #14, and it was enough to wire my entire boat with left over, minus he bigger stuff I needed. Make sure to get plenty of heat shrink connecters from them too. Lugs, etc. I don't know about where you live, but buying the stuff locally and paying local prices hurts.

That site I posted is sold out of most of their wire.

I'm ordering from http://gregsmarinewiresupply.com/Zen/

It also says made in USA and is a little cheaper on the one item I compared.
