Good morning
I just started hand trolling, here is the main question When i fished in ORE late 70 there was a troller association. I would like to join if there is one here in ketchikan ???. I just want to thank you all for this site only thing i wish i would have bought my permit years ago. craig

Not sure about Ketchikan specifically but I know there is ATA or Alaska Trollers Association. They try to represent all trollers who participate in the fishery.

I'm writing from the road, but somewhere in the 'politics' section is a membership application. If you're on Facebook, search us out at Alaska Trollers (or AK Trollers maybe?) AND Alaska Trollers Association. Membership rates and contact info can be found on both those sites.
Finally, I was just working on ATA's webpage tonight, which should be up later this week: aktrollers.org You can find info and forms there.
The office will be closed until early December, but I will be at FishEXPO and we will have a port meeting on site at 1:30pm Friday Nov.19th.
