I am going to be meeting My friend in Petersburg instead of Sitka, and I was wondering I want to get there a day early to see the town and roam around. Any suggestions on lodging and good place to eat? I am getting really excited about this trip. Any help would be great.

Scandia House or Tides Inn are both right down town.
